Assembly of deprived was organized to assert peoples rights over land, water and Forest. This assembly became voice of peoples opposed the Government control over natural resources and those who advocate the people’s rights over the natural resources arrived in large numbers. The hall of trade fair ground Gwalior became the witness of this historic occasion on human rights day.

I am Andrias Baghsingh staying now Manupur village, P.o/Via- Kotagrh, Kandhamal district originally we are the inhabitant of Badajalagu. In fact we are six families having 12 acres land with full of bananas trees, jackfruit trees, cashew plantation, lemon, guava like others horticultural backyards trees.
          Unfortunately we have left out the original land where we had been living since some generation ago. Due to regional riots of tribal and non-tribal issues and some people from other community threatened to go out from this place. For keeping our lives safe we stayed in reserve forest area which is not till yet entitled but the previous land is being occupied by the community those had threatened us. Now we are landless. Many times we conveyed our problems to officials. No action has been taken yet. We are daily laborers. We are living on selling of non-timber forest produced as livelihood which is not available round the year.
