Biswamber Jani a tribal from the remote Damia Barbara Panchayat of Banapur block which comes under Khurda has his own story to say. His family has been fighting for generation against the fraudulent occupation of their land by the local land. As per Mr. Jani out of 30 acres of land which is grandfather had has been occupied by a local land lord because he was unable to return back the money a sum of 10 rupees as a loan. Now in their generation with six families depends upon only on twelve acre of land. Though the original land patta is still now with the family but after the settlement. The legal entitlement has been transferred in the name of the land lord in the lodge manner.
