Assembly of deprived was organized to assert peoples rights over land, water and Forest. This assembly became voice of peoples opposed the Government control over natural resources and those who advocate the people’s rights over the natural resources arrived in large numbers. The hall of trade fair ground Gwalior became the witness of this historic occasion on human rights day.

Subasini Jani is fighting for her right in the same way that Mahatma Gandhi did 100 years before. She is tribal women from Bhatapada a remote tribal village of Banapur block under Khurda district. Her family has been fighting for their right over land a part of which is being officially transferred in the name of a local land lord.
          Though her family have won the legal battle for the land but the goon of the land lord are threatening to evict them from the land. As per her the recent record shows the land has been sold to three different people fraudulently and going to bring more problems for the poor family.
