Few people have political power; few people have military might. All people possess moral power. People can freely choose to be courageous when there is a deep sense of unrighteousness or injustice. Moral power is expressed through non-violent action or unwillingness to subscribe or adhere to an unjust system or relationship. If one has dignity, one has the moral power to stand up for what is evidently just, using the force of truth (Truth-Force).

History of Janadesh
Tracing back the history of Janadesh one can find how a village level action can network as a movement not only at the state level but at the national and international level. This was a need based growth from village to assembly constituencies and from there to the district and slowly to the international level. We see this as strength of our process. Strong grassroots level presence with a mature advocacy component at various levels makes Janadesh a different process. What we see today as Ekta Europe is a process of 20 years whereby groups and individuals who got associated with grassroots work in India got formed into a larger support group with deep commitment like any social activists in this side the quality of relationship between different levels from bottom up is based on this commitment for changing the socio-eco-political condition of the deprived people through non-violent methods. We define poverty only as economic poverty as we believe that poor people have much other strength which people with money may not have. Building up from bottom also means building from the capacity of the people.

As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world... as in being able to remake ourselves.
